Leadership Development Institute for Teachers Program

One of the programs of the Pathway to the Principalship, the Leadership Development Institute for Teachers (LDIT) provides the opportunity for qualified persons to participate in comprehensive training designed to prepare them for the assistant principalship. The LDIT Program provides the opportunity for participants to acquire and demonstrate the managerial competencies as well as the technical and leadership skills needed by assistant principals.

The LDIT Program has been structured to accommodate participants at two different entry levels, based upon the level of readiness in meeting educational leadership certification requirements. Strand A is a one year program for teachers who are fully certified in Educational Leadership or Administration and Supervision. Strand B is a two year program for teachers who are enrolled in courses for certification in Educational Leadership.
