| The professional development programs for M-DCPS teachers that operate under the auspices of Human Resources and Development include the Dade-Monroe Teacher Education Center, the Title II Teacher Quality Program (formerly Eisenhower Professional Development Program), the M-DCPS Add-on Certification Program and New Teacher Support Program. Although each of these professional development programs has a specific purpose, they are all based on identified needs, support school improvement plans, District Strategic Planning Goals, and the Sunshine State Standards. The underlying objective is to increase teacher effectiveness with the intent of improving student achievement. Regardless of the population served or the funding source, all M-DCPS professional development activities have one major objective and that objective is to prepare and/or support teachers to help all student achieve high standards of learning and development. | ||||||
