The vision for Non-Instructional Support Personnel Training is to provide a seamless, high quality staff development program that

  • enhances the professional skills of office employees;
  • provides opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and career advancement;
  • responds to workplace and individual training needs

INTRODUCTION

Although Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) offers numerous career opportunities for its employees, M-DCPS continues its efforts to develop or promote creative and innovative programs to enhance the professionalism of office employees. To this end, many programs are offered that provide the opportunity to upgrade professional skills and achieve greater productivity and efficiency.

Every effort is made to keep office personnel abreast of current techniques in secretarial practices and procedures as well as new development in office systems and technology. M-DCPS encourages employees to raise their standards of professionalism through participation in inservice training by offering financial incentives when possible.
