Confidential exempt personnel
of Miami-Dade County Public Schools are selected
employees who hold positions classified by the
Public Employee Relations Commission (PERC) as
confidential exempt, and who are assigned to
managerial personnel exempt from the provisions of
Chapter 447, Florida Statutes. The compensation
plan for confidential exempt employees is
incorporated in Salary Schedule XO which is
established annually by The School Board of
Miami-Dade County, FL. All confidential exempt
positions require a high school diploma and at
least 3 years secretarial experience supplemented
by college level courses.
Confidential exempt personnel must
possess
leadership skills and
extensive knowledge of Board Rules, policies, and
procedures as well as demonstrate the highest
degree of productivity and efficiency. For these
reasons, in addition to the experience requirements
referenced in job descriptions and satisfactorily
achieving required scores on clerical skills test,
candidates for confidential/exempt positions
classified at pay grade E and above must complete a
core of inservice classes prior to being considered
for positions.
