Administrative Programs

The Office of Human Resources, Training and Development offers a diverse range of programs designed to prepare M-DCPS administrators to meet the challenges of the 21st century. These programs include the Executive Training Program, and Leadership Dimensions for Principals as well as the Leadership Development Institute for Teachers, and the Leadership Assessment Process, two programs that are part of the Pathway to the Principalship. In addition to these professional development programs, the Management Academy offers on-line courses, inservice classes, workshops, and an array of resources including books, video tapes, and audio tapes on topics of current interest to administrators.

Principalportal.net provides school administrators from Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach with easy access to information, resources, school policies, contracts in a searchable web portal so they can make informed decisions using district, state, and federal resources. The M-DCPS Professional Development Plan form and samples illustrating the use of the form for teachers at the elementary school, middle school, and senior high school level are also included in the resources.
