Superintendent's "Everybody Teaches" Academy

Everybody Teaches (ET) will leverage non-school site administrative talent to assist in the delivery of instruction to our students.

To learn more about the initiative, please refer to the overview found here.

Who will participate?

Every MEP and DCSAA non-school employee will be given the opportunity to participate. We are exploring the inclusion of other employee groups in this initiative, specifically FOP.
>>Non-School Site MEP and DCSAA employees should have received an email with an application form to join the ET faculty. You may also access the ET application here. You only need to fill out the application once.

What will they do?
Depending upon teaching certification, educational background, and/or participation preferences, employees will serve in one or more of the following roles:

  • Classroom teachers to teach or co-teach an existing lesson plan
  • Teachers who participate in Saturday’s “Success Academies”
  • Visiting professors or guest speakers who intertwine an outside lesson into an existing curriculum
  • Tutors and mentors who work with individual students or groups of students on focused areas of study

Where will they work?
Assignments will primarily be at Intervene or Correct II D & F Schools.

How often will they work?
Assignments will vary based upon the school’s needs and participant’s availability. Ideally, participants will engage in six unique assignments throughout the school year.
